Dee Grimm RN, JD has over 30 years’ experience as an emergency department nurse and manager, and as a healthcare emergency preparedness manager. She has served as a consulting instructor with CDP/FEMA’s Noble Training Center. She holds a Juris Doctorate in Law and is a recognized subject matter expert in legal and ethical issues of emergency management, at-risk populations in disasters, and healthcare emergency management. During her career as an emergency management consultant, Ms. Grimm has worked with local, regional and state level jurisdictions to build community resiliency by developing emergency operations plans, managing state level EM projects, and coordinating multi agency exercises. She served as the Project Manager for Nevada’s statewide Mass Care, Evacuation and Shelter Initiative, for the statewide Mass Fatality Plans Project and for the statewide Continuity of Operations Planning Initiative. In her current position, Dee provides project management oversight of consulting and training programs. Dee has experience in real life incident management responses, including Hurricane’s Ike and Alex, the 2008 fires in Northern California, the Haiti Earthquake, the Reno Air Race crash, the Reno Caughlin Fire of 2011, the Ebola Outbreak, and Hurricane Harvey.
