Inspector Matthew Anderson is assigned to the Counter Terrorism Coordination – Emergency Management Department of the Victoria Police Force (Australia).
Since 2002, Matthew has been the project manager responsible for managing the protection and ensuring the continuity of Critical Infrastructure within Victoria. He has a strong interest in enhancing the capabilities of Australian police and law enforcement agencies and Government Departments through preventing, preparing for and responding to a potential terrorist threat or incident.
A member of the Victoria Police for 29 years, he has served at the Armed Robbery Squad; Ethical Standards Department; Special Operations Group (Tactical Team); and Criminal Justice Enhancement Program (CJEP).
During 2004 he was awarded and completed a Churchill Fellowship to study Critical Infrastructure Protection and Business Continuity Management in the USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, France, The Hague and Israel.
