Traditional approaches to Risk Assessment for BC Planning focus on various types of incidents, such as power outages, earthquakes, and pandemics, their probabilities and business impacts. This presentation will describe the approach used at Ingram Micro that emphasizes specific outcomes which could results from a variety of types of incidents.
 
Speaker Bio
Michael Anzis, is Director of Business Continuity Worldwide for Ingram Micro, Inc., headquartered in Santa Ana, California. Ingram Micro is the world’s largest distributor of technology products and services, operating in 140 countries with revenues over $32 billion per year and #70 on the Fortune 500.

Mr. Anzis spent over 25 years in IT before specializing in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning after 9/11/2001. He has held positions as CIO for Emulex and Mazda North America, and as a Consulting Director for Deloitte, CSC, and RSM McGladrey. He has presented at numerous industry conferences and taught courses in Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity Planning at U.C. Irvine Extension. Mike holds a Bachelors degree from U.C. Berkeley, and a Masters in Business Information Systems from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He also holds the CBCP certification from the Disaster Recovery Institute International.
