Description
This presentation will de-mystify Command and Control (C&C) Business Continuity for Emergency Services and Public/Private Sector organizations. It sets out the MPS approach to BCM, BS25999 and national police guidelines for BC. It includes a case study outlining how the Met developed its BC plans, as it transitioned its legacy C&C functions as part of the C3i (Command, Control, Communication & Information) Programme.
 
Speaker Bio

Tim is a serving Chief Inspector with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), London, England. He has a total of 24 years police service, 19 years of which were in operational roles at different London locations.

Between 2003 and 2007, he worked on the largest Business Change Programme in the history of the MPS - The C3i (Command, Control, Communication and Information) Programme. His initial 2 years were within the Business Change workstream, followed by 3 years as the C3i Business Continuity Manager. In January 2008, Tim transferred to the CO3 Emergency Preparedness MPS Operational Command Unit (OCU). He now leads on Strategic Business Continuity for the MPS, as well as Performance Management for CO3.

He is a member of the UK Emergency Planning Society (MEPS), and is also the London & SE Executive Committee Representative for the British Association of Public Service Communication Officers (BAPCO).
