Title: 301:The Death of News: How the e-world is Killing Traditional News Gathering Methods
Speaker: Jim Stanton
Stream: Practice and Principles
Time: 12:45 - 1:45 PM (EST)

Description
Advent of satellite technology, internet, video phones, YouTube and other instantaneous forms of communications mean agencies no longer “control” the message—information’s out there beyond their control. Jim will show examples of how media is being lead by citizen-based technology; examine what this means to first response agencies; and how they manage information in crises.
