Mr. Barber is the Emergency & Business Continuity Planner for MIT, where he has been employed for 15 years. His experience includes incident management, business continuity planning, response training, specialized rescue training, leadership development, disaster simulation creator and facilitator, LEPC participant in Cambridge, rescue responder and program developer.
He has been involved in MIT emergency planning for over ten years and oversees the field emergency operations for the Institutes largest yearly event (Commencement, which draws over 13,000 people into an outdoor courtyard). Mr. Barber is an active member of the International Association of Emergency Managers, serving on the University and College Committee as the Region 1 Representative. |
